Good, but its predecessor was better
When I learned that this software was kind of a sequel to Hard Truck 18 Wheels of Steel, I was excited. The older program was pretty good, and relatively realistic (I'm an ex-big rig driver with 4 years of experience), but limited to west coast running. Expanding the "playground" to the entire country, along with improved graphics, was an exciting prospect.
Much to my dismay, they have taken a lot of the realistic features out. In my trial of this software, I never encountered dealing with low fuel, lack of sleep, or weigh stations. I drove a load clear from NYC to Minneapolis, clearly a 2-day trip, on a single tank of fuel and with no rest period.
The graphics are a little better, but they obviously developed it more as a "game" than a "simulator". Disappointing in comparison. But if you're looking for a higher action game and not so much of a "simulator", then I guess this software is pretty good.
As with all big rig games I've tried, the sound effects are lacking.

18 Wheels of Steel Across America:
i wish the game was more mouse friendly and didn't require you to use the keyboard.
